How do I report an absence using the GoodShape App?
To report an absence, simply log in to the App with your GoodShape account details, click 'Report an absence' on the homepage, and follow the chatbot flow.
If this is your first time using the App, you will also need to complete a few registration questions first.
Why do I need to report absence?
Whenever you feel unable to attend work due to illness, two crucial activities need to happen behind the scenes.
Firstly, we need to work with your organisation to support your wellbeing and help you get back to health as early, and safely, as possible.
Secondly, your organisation needs to be able to plan and manage the impact of your absence, such as arranging cover, updating work schedules, etc.
Knowing about your absence as early as possible is crucial to keeping things run effectively.
Who will be notified of my absences?
Details of any absences you report will be sent to your organisation's nominated "Notification Contacts". These are individuals chosen by your HR team and will include your line manager.
Occasionally, other individuals may be informed based on the circumstances of your absence. For example, if your absence is due to an accident at work, health & safety representatives may also be notified.
Can I arrange for a nurse to call me back via the App?
If your organisation has enabled nurse interactions, you will be able to book a nurse callback via the App at a time and date that suits you when you report an absence.
You can also book a nurse appointment at any time – whether you're feeling unwell or just want advice – via the App's homepage.
